Conditions
The Championship will be decided by strokes over four rounds of 18 holes each, in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and with the Local Rules approved by the Championship Committee. The first two rounds of the Championship will count for the Czech Nations’ Cup, the event for national teams consisting of three amateurs or three ladies.
After the second round of the Championship there will be a cut. Only the best scores of 70 men and 24 ladies and those tying will qualify for the third round. After the third round of the Championship there will be another cut. Only the best scores of 40 men and 15 ladies and those tying will qualify for the final round.
In the event of a tie after four rounds of the Championship, the winner will be decided by a sudden death play-off on the hole No.18 which will take place immediately after the last players have finished their round. Ties for other prizes will be decided by the lowest score for the last 18,9,6,3 or 1 hole.
Eligibility
Amateur players who are members of an affiliated Czech or foreign golf club and have playing handicap within the announced HCP limits are eligible to compete in the Championship. Handicaps must be certified by their home club or golf federation.
Handicap limits
Amateurs 3.0
Ladies 5.5 (Handicaps better than Scratch should be indicated as “plus”)
If there are more than 126 entries (90 amateurs and 36 ladies), amateurs and ladies with the highest handicaps will be balloted out.
Entry fees
EUR 150,- (EUR 75,- boys and girls under 18)
Must be paid upon registration, Tuesday August 5th, until 4 p.m.
The entry fee includes
- free practice round
- lunch & refreshment on the golf course for players during their Championship rounds
- invitation for the Dinner of the Czech Golf Federation & Golf Club Austerlitz held on Friday August 8th at the Austerlitz Castle (approx. 600 m from the golf course)

Free practice round
Tuesday, August 5th, 2008
Starting times for the practice round should be reserved by competitors directly at the golf club.
Driving clubs
Please note that in this Championship the Conditions of “List of Conforming Driver Heads” as well as “List of Conforming Golf Balls” as specified in the Rules of Golf, Appendix I, Part C are in effect. The respective lists can be downloaded from the www.randa.org website.
Dress code
Only shoes with soft spikes are allowed, appropriate golfing attire, jeans are strictly prohibited!
Czech Nations’ Cup, August 6th – 7th, 2008
The first two rounds of the Championship will count for the Czech Nations’ Cup, the event for national teams consisting of three amateurs or three ladies. The aggregate of two best scores from each day of each
team over the first two rounds (four scores in total) of the Championship will prevail. In the event of a tie the
best 18,9,6,3 or 1 hole of the best Individual score will prevail.
Each nation may be represented by maximum of 3 teams.
Prizes
The winners will receive the challenge trophy, which will remain with the Czech Golf Federation and souvenir prizes up to the third rank.
